Presents an MCLE Luncheon:
John Shu
Please join us as John Shu presents a review and retrospective of the work and writings of our late friend and colleague, Professor Ron Rotunda, who passed away in March of this year. Professor Rotunda was a constitutional law and legal ethics pioneer and scholar who taught law at the University of Illinois - Champaign, George Mason University, and Chapman University.

Professor Rotunda wrote seminal law books that are still used in law schools across the country and was the author of over 500 law review articles and other legal publications. These books and articles have been cited more than 2000 times by law reviews, by state and federal courts at every level, by the U.S. Supreme Court and by foreign courts in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America.

John Shu, a legal scholar in his own right, will review the groundbreaking work and prolific writing of Professor Rotunda, and will lend his perspective and analysis. Mr. Shu is an attorney and legal commentator practicing here in Orange County. His focus areas include constitutional law, securities & corporate law, politics, and international affairs, and has lectured and published on a wide variety of issues. He worked for both President George H.W. Bush and President George W. Bush in the White House. He also served Judge Stanley Sporkin, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, who was Director of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission and General Counsel at the Central Intelligence Agency, and Judge Paul Roney, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, who was Presiding Judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court of Review. He can frequently be heard commenting on legal issues on radio programming, and his legal writing has appeared in national publications such as the Wall Street Journal.

Mr. Shu holds a J.D., with honors, from Pepperdine University School of Law and a B.A., with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed, with honors, a graduate program at Peking University.
